Oogly-boogly candy

My Grandpa Erickson passed away Saturday afternoon at the ripe old age of 90. He was truly a great man, and definately a huge example to me. A few things about "oogly-boogly candy":

- he was a navigator in the war

- dentist by profession

- waterskiied until his mid 80s

- 8 children

- served a mission with my Grandma in South Africa

- amazing at crosstitch

- loves music (I can remember going over there for Sunday dinners and he would just lay on the floor with his huge headphones on listening to MoTab)

- trimmed his trees until about a year ago, regardless of us telling him not to and that we would do it

- ALWAYS had candy in the house (hence the nickname oogly-boogly candy. Thank you Max. haha)

- GREAT sense of humor. He would always say something and keep such a straight face that I didn't know if he was joking or not, then he would just get this little grin on his face.

- loves the Gospel

- loves his family

I'm sure going to miss him, but I know there is one heck of a reunion going on up in Heaven. Love you Grandpa!

  1. Sorry to hear about your grandpa, Amy. Sounds like the earth just lost another great man. Isn't it great that we have the gospel in our lives and have the knowledge we have?

  2. Amy - your grandpa sounds like an awesome guy. It's good to hear that you had such a good relationship with him. To be a fly on the wall in heaven to see that reunion hey? Hope you're all doing alright.
