Dear People of Brisbane

Dear people of Brisbane,
Words cannot even begin to express how much you have impressed me over the past five weeks.  Since my arrival on Australian soil, I have experienced nothing but open arms and warm welcomes, and for that, I am grateful.  My worries of moving to a new country lasted less than a moment, because before I even disembarked the plane, I had contact information for three wonderful individuals.  The circumstances under which we met were less than ideal for some, but nothing that a pacemaker couldn't fix, right Des?  And your hospitality didn't stop there.  Never in my life have I had such a consistent influx of dinner invites; I believe we're averaging twice a week!  My heart has been full of gratitude not only for your delicious meals, but more importantly for the friendship that you have so freely offered us.  So thank you, to all of our new friends.  We consider you as such and look forward to sharing our time here with you!
